Hello, When I try to open a new template from template options, be it from word or excel or power point, they all give me this message: 'Something went wrong while downloading your template'. I have to tell you that there has been extensive time and effort trying to resolve this issue and we were never successful. What I've been doing is going to the online 'free' template list on microsoft.com. But not all templates are available in this list. ![]() I am posting this to hopefully get this resolved once and for all so I can start using these templates. I am currently desperately trying to use the excel template called gantt project planner that is not in the online microsoftoffice template list. The reason why I decided to post. I will appreciate your time. How to Use Templates in Excel 2010. The Microsoft Office Web site. Excel templates use the.xltx filename extension, as opposed to.xlsx for an Excel. Thank you Update - IT personnel is who tried to fix this so basic things like firewall issues and uninstalling and re-installing was all done. I read now something about BranchCache enabling. A lot of the links are useless since they start at a point where they asume that evreyone knows programming or techincal jargon. I wish it was written in step by step instructions where most of us can follow. It says enable BranchCache. Where do I even go to do that. Some had suggested adding something to the firewall rules. You get SOME info but not all. BTW, I don't have any Visio installed so that's not the problem either. ![]() ![]()
